Wicklow Way

In August finally I went on a one week holiday hike and chose the WicklowWay for this adventure. It is a 132km long trail starting in Marlay Park (Dublin) and ending in Clonegal (you could also walk vice versa). Beside the beautiful landscape in the Wicklows you can enjoy the hospitality of irish B&B's. The trail is well way marked and you hardly can get lost. With only one day of rain, we were very lucky and my favorites were Glendalough, the Glenmalure Lodge and the Pub "Dying Cow" in Tinahely.

Im August habe ich endlich Zeit gefunden für eine einwöchige Wanderung auf dem Wicklow Way. Es ist ein 132km langer Wanderweg, der im Marlay Park (Dublin) startet und bis nach Clonegal führt (kann man auch andersrum laufen). Neben der hübschen Landschaf in den Wicklow Bergen, kann man die Gastfreundschaft in den irischen B&B's geniessen. Der Weg ist gut markiert und man kann sich nur schwerlich verlaufen. Wir hatten mit nur einem Regentag viel Glück, und meine Highlights waren Glendalough, die Glenmalure Lodge und das Pub "Dying Cow" in Tinahely.
