Aran Island

The Trip to the Aran Islands, and more specific to the Inishmore, is a highlight in July. The island is famous for its Tweed, but also rich in history and gaellic culture. Only some more than 1,000 inhabitants, but at least as much were there as tourists, the Islands offer stunning Cliffs-of-Moher-Like views at the southside. But also the 3000 years-old stone fort Dún Aonghasa is worth a visit. 

Der Trip zur größten der Aran Inseln, der Inishmore, war bestimmt ein Highlight im Juli. Die Insel ist berühmt für das Tweed, aber auch reich an Geschichte und gällischer Kultur. Nur knapp über 1,000 Menschen wohnen noch auf der Insel, aber mindestens genauso viele könnten es an einem Besucherstarken Tag als Touristen sein. Die Insel bietet gewaltige Cliffs-of-Moher-ähnliche Blicke über die Klippen. Dun Aengus, das 3000 Jahre alte Stein-Fort sollte man auf keinen Fall verpassen.
