Carraunthoohil

I did not want to miss the chance to climb the highest mountain of the irish - Mr Carraunthoohil. I already ticked the box for the holiest mountain last year in Co. Mayo and sought this as a good opportunity during my cycle trip to Co. Kerry for another climb of an irish mountain. The way up starts with a walk along Hag's Glen and up the Devils Ladder. With its 1,038 meters height, it is comparable to the Fichtelgebirge. Busy at the peak and happy to have someone taking a picture at the cross. 

Ich wollte nicht die Chance verpassen den hoechsten Berg der Iren zu besteigen - Mister Carrauntoohil. Letztes Jahr hatte ich schon den heiligen Berg der Iren im County Mayo bestiegen und war mit meinem Rad sowieso im County Kerry unterwegs, und da kam mir die Gelegenheit gerade recht einen weiteren irischen Berg zu besteigen. Der Aufstieg geht ueber das "Hag's" Tal und hoch ueber die Teufelsleiter. Mit seinen 1,038m ist der Berg etwa mit dem Fichtelgebirge vergleichbar. War gut besucht am Gipfel und daher gluecklich, dass jemand ein Bild am Gipfel machen konnte.
