Hook Head

Driving southbound on a saturday morning can be fun. Stopover in Gorey for a full irish breakfast, snapshots in Ferns and Enniscorthy, feeling the atmosphere of Vinegar Hill and off to Wexford town to watch the Bundesliga classico in a pub. And there is no better way to finish the weekend with a visit of Hook Head and one of the oldest lighthouses in the world.

Mit dem Auto Richtung Süden an einem Samstag morgen kann lustig sein. Mit Halt in Gorey für ein volles irisches Frühstück, ein paar Schnappschüssen in Ferns und Enniscorthy, etwas von der Stimmung auf dem Vinegar Hügel mitnehmen und dann in Wexford den Bundesliga Klassiker im Pub anschauen. Und es gibt keinen besseren Abschluss für das Wochenende, als am Hook Head vorbeizuschauen und eine Führung in einem der ältesten Leuchttürme der Welt mitzumachen.
