Curracloe Beach, Ballinesker

Ireland is a great place for moviemakers, as it offers a bunch of great sceneries, from castles to islands. Who knows, where I made this pic on a sunday morning in march? At this spot a famous Spielberg movie sequence was shot.  Yes, it's a beach. Yes, it is in County Wexford. And yes, it is Curracloe Beach in Ballinesker, where the movie Saving Private Ryan begins with the landing of the americans on D-Day.

Irland ist ein grossartiger Schauplatz fuer Filmemacher, da es von mittelalterlichen Burgen und Inseln einiges zu bieten hat. Wer weiss, wo ich dieses Bild an einem Sonntag morgen im Maerz gemacht habe? An diesem Fleck wurde eine beruehmte Szene aus einem Spielberg Film gedreht. Ja, es ist ein Strand. Ja, es ist in County Wexford. Und ja es ist Curracloe Beach in Ballinesker, wo die Anfangsszene, die Landung der Amerikaner am D-Day, in 'Saving Private Ryan' gedreht wurde.
