Connemara Part 1

After the long Jazz Weekend in Cork, I went for a hike in Connemara. My journey started in Oughterard, close to the shore of Lough Corrib north of Galway. It's the official Western way, which runs over distance of 180km. End of october you barely meet anyone on the track and you can enjoy the solitude of wide grassland and rolling hills. 

Nach dem langen Jazz Wochenende in Cork bin ich fuer ein paar Tage nach Connemara gefahren. Der Ausgangspunkt fuer die Wanderung war Oughterard in der Naehe vom Corrib See und noerdlich von Galway. Ich war auf dem offiziellen Western Way unterwegs, der sich ueber eine Gesamtdistanz von 180km erstreckt. Ende Oktober ist da kaum was los und du kannst die ganze Einsamkeit und das weite Grassland und die rollenden Huegel fuer dich geniessen.
